CLARK AGRI SERVICE EXPANDS FERTILIZER OPERATION

In the spring of 2016, Clark Agri Service, expanded their fertilizer storage, mixing, and distribution operation in the Niagara Region to ensure larger capacity and faster service to all of their valued customers.

Clark announced in the fall of 2015 plans for a complete upgrade and additional capacity towers to be built at the Wellandport, Ontario site.  Wellandport is located between the towns of Wainfleet and Smithville.

The upgrade includes two new bulk bins with a capacity of 225mt plus six new shipping bins for an additional 150mt bringing the total storage volume to approximately 1800mt.  This will provide “flexibility for retail blending needs” and a blending system able to mix up to 1500 tonnes of fertilizers per day, up from the previous 800.

Construction was completed in April and ready for the busy spring season.  The plant is now capable of mixing more blends and has significantly decreased wait times for the customer.

“Once construction was complete, we were able to provide service in a more efficient manner and increased customer satisfaction across the Niagara, Haldimand, Wentworth, Brant and Norfolk counties” according to Clark General Manager Jeff Hoover.
