Melody Robinson receives her 4R Nutrient Management Certification
September 19, 2016
Congratulations Melody Robinson -a Clark Agri Service Sales Agronomist- for being 1 of 49 Agronomists in Ontario to pass the 4R Nutrient Management Certification exam, a new Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) designation!
This specialty certification utilizes the 4Rs as the foundation to nutrient management, protecting soil and water. Based on the 4R nutrient best management practice philosophy – Right Source, Right Rate, Right Time, Right Place – it is designed to enhance CCAs’ ability to help farmers best manage water quality and nutrient management issues. Melody adds this important certification to her already expansive knowledge base in her profession.
Melody Robinson joined Clark Agri Service in December of 2012 as a professional Agronomist. She holds a Master’s Degree in Weed Science from the University of Guelph as well as a BSc in Plant Biology. Melody worked as an Assistant Research Coordinator for Grain Farmers of Ontario, conducting research on corn, soybeans and wheat varieties. She has also worked for Dekalb as an Assistant Agronomist. She is pleased to share her agricultural experience with the farmers of Haldimand–Norfolk and Niagara Regions.
Melody also leads Clark Agri Service’s industry leading crop check scouting program. Our team of knowledgeable and well trained scouts assist growers by walking fields of corn, wheat and soybeans during all the critical stages of development. Our scouts are armed with the best technology and resources in the industry to make certain that weeds, insects and diseases are promptly and properly identified. Our scouts create detailed scouting reports that are delivered via email or hardcopy to the grower as soon as they leave the field. Growers can then discuss the best action plan with Melody or one of our other skilled agronomists.
