That’s a Wrap on The 2025 Season

Now that the 2025 season has officially come to a close, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the year that was.

Hitting the season right from the start, our custom application teams in Waterford and Wellandport were already in the field in early March, applying early nitrogen whenever conditions allowed. With cold mornings and tight windows, the team made the most of every opportunity — often starting early before the frost came off and temperatures began to warm. Their dedication set the tone for the season ahead.

Planting season proved to be less than ideal. Conditions were challenging at every turn — extremely cold temperatures, followed by periods that were too dry, and then suddenly too wet. Spring seemed to drag on longer and slower than any season we’ve experienced before, making timely fieldwork difficult across the board.

As the season progressed, much of the growing year was marked by drought-like conditions and below-average rainfall. Crops were under stress for much of the summer, and while conditions were far from ideal, perseverance paid off. Here at Clark Agri Service, we’re proud to say that most of our crops turned out well. Yields may not have reached our ideal targets, but given the conditions we were dealt, the results were something to be proud of.

Throughout the season, our agronomy team played a critical role in helping growers navigate the challenges of 2025. From in-field scouting and crop planning to timely recommendations and plot work, their experience and commitment helped support sound decisions when conditions were constantly changing.

Throughout the summer months, we stayed busy working on fungicide plots in collaboration with Lofthouse Spraying, alongside regular fungicide applications across the region. July saw wheat harvest in full flow, and grain trucks were rolling steadily into our Wellandport location.

Once wheat was off, our soil sampler was off to the races, keeping up with demand as growers prepared for the next stages of the season. September kept the momentum going as we spent time at the Woodstock farm and rolled straight into the International Plowing Match, which took place close to our Wellandport location in 2025 — truly in our backyard.

As fall progressed, soybeans began coming off, and plot work ramped up once again. Soybean trucks continued to arrive in Wellandport, with grain being tested before heading into the bins. Before long, corn harvest followed, bringing even more plot results as part of our continued push toward the Reach for 300 Club here at Clark’s.

Looking back, 2025 was a season that tested patience, adaptability, and persistence. Despite the challenges, our team pushed through, supported our customers, and delivered results we can stand behind.

From everyone here at Clark Agri Service, we can confidently say we’re excited to see what 2026 has in store.
